Staging a Kitchen

This beach house kitchen really shines with a streamlined arrangement of the homeowner's existing accessories. The point is to make it look inviting but not cluttered.

Kitchens sell homes! An outdated kitchen is the number one deterrent when buyers are choosing a home. A portion of your staging budget should always go toward sprucing up the kitchen, even if it is a newer space. Always make sure it's clean, neat and homey. Do add touches like flowers and food. If you could use some updating and budget allows, replace the floors, countertops, paint your cabinets or change anything that is not up to par. Doing just a few inexpensive things will make the process of selling your home go so much more smoothly.

Before: This NYC kitchen had really cool, contemporary cabinets that just needed to be highlighted by updating the white appliances and cabinet
hardware.

After: With chrome appliances and new cabinet handles, the kitchen shines and is much more appealing to potential buyers.

Before

In this kitchen we had a very small budget so all we did was change out the wallpaper to add some color, change the cabinet hardware and swap out the antique table for a table with four chairs to create an eat-in kitchen. We then finished it off by editing the accessories instead of buying new ones and the room has a completely different look. This kitchen now has charm, character and is market-ready.
